                            TAKE ACTION

Tips:-

  • Always think like a chicken, think what you would like to do and eat. Keep you chickens entertained by adding into the chicken coop area something new such as a branch of a tree for a week in the coop outside area.
  • Spoil you chickens and give them some fruit and vegetables, they really love it. This you can grow near to the coop, we also suggest planting a few soft fruit trees in the outside coop area, fruit is very rich in vitamins which helps with the immune system. Good trees to plant:- peach, apricot, fig, plumb, apple, peach and mulberry and they love the eat the leaves to.
  • Clean the nest regularly by placing fresh dried grass or wood shavings, we also add some lavender leaves into the nest. Lavender give off a smell and the smell has calming properties making the nest a relaxing and calm place for the to lay her eggs.
  • It is also very important to maintain a good coop cleaning program using the correct products to keep the house clean and disease free.
  • Every week clean the inside of the coop, make sure when cleaning the coop all the chickens are in the outside coop area as the dusk could affect the chickens and once a month do a deep clean in the coop using water and cleaning agents.
